The problem of man - Brian Akomaye
Man was created in the image and likeness of God. Genesis 1:27.
But man’s disobedience by joining himself into a league with the devil gave way to the many quest and list that crept into man when we lost spiritual sensitivity and embrace sensual behaviors. “Romans 1:24niv
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another”.
The flesh took a fallen and degrading form. Sin changed man from pure and blameless to a corrupt and wicked being. The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. So every man that originated from the Adamic lineage has a seed of evil. And because we have inherited this nature, most behaviors seems to be convenient and good.
2 Timothy 2:15 says;
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Our ignorance of God’s word had been used by the devil to hold us captive to sin. Also, train up a child in the bible said in the way he should go, this implies there is a way.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. The commandment was given so it can effect changes on mans degenerated state by inculcating the words into our subconscious minds. Thoughts control our behaviors, so if what we hear, see and allow into our minds are not immediately controlled, it will end up taking over us.
Apostle Paul said, I put my body under subjection
At tender age, we must control what our desires want.
Technological advancements have been one of the undoing of this generation. On the last day knowledge shall increase.... Phones, TV and all manner of demonically infused immoral pictures and words that has infiltrated our minds through music, has further destroyed and introduce man to corruption of the flesh.
The human nature cannot be tamed without the help of the Holy Spirit. Go ahead and ask God to help you!
